It has been no secret that the past couple of years have been both challenging and frustrating for organisations seeking registration as an Aged Care Provider in Australia.

The Royal Commission into Aged Care and a complete review of the application process, including the implementation of tiered application fees, saw less than a handful of successful applications in the past 2 years.  Many applicants have waited more than 12 months for word on the outcome of their applications, leaving potential new applicants nervous about starting the process.

The good news is that the new process is in full swing and, in recent months, we have seen what appears to be a clearing of the application back log, either through the receipt of definitive results or requests for additional information.
