The Australian Government has this week issued a grant opportunity for the provision of funding under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP).
With the exception of the release of funding for CALD communities in late 2020, this is the first release available to NEW providers in almost 5 years.
GO6887 offers $100 million of funding in the 2024-25 financial year for providers to deliver the following services in targeted Aged Care Planning Regions (ACPRs):
- Domestic Assistance
- Home Maintenance
- Allied Health and Therapy
- Transport services

The grant opportunity is open for applications between 16 April 2024 to 31 May 2024, with service delivery by successful applicants to commence from 1 October 2024 and be completed by 30 June 2025.
The minimum annual grant amount is $250,000 (GST exclusive) and successful applicants will have the opportunity to extend funding through to 30 June 2027 when extension arrangements are released.
Eligibility requirements
To be eligible you must be an existing Commonwealth funded provider of one of the following:
- Department of Health and Aged Care (approved Aged Care Provider)
- Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA Provider)
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS Provider)
